The Gospel
The cross of Christ.
(I Corinthians 15:3-4 [KJV])
[3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
[4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
We are all sinners freely justified by his grace.
(Romans 3:21-26 [KJV])
[21] But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
[22] Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
[23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
[24] Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
[25] Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
[26] To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
You only have to believe once in your lifetime. But you should be aware of that there is a life after this when you believe. So you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for your eternal life.
(John 3:18 [KJV])
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
(John 6:47 [KJV]) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
Eternal security of he or she who has believed.
(Ephesians 4:30 [KJV]) And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
(Ephesians 1:13-14 [KJV])
[13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
[14] Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
