The Legal War of Biotech: From Gain-of-Function to Infectious Amyloids

In two recent episodes of the Daily Pulse—episodes 18 and 20—a deeply unsettling continuity emerges: the U.S. government has not only resumed but is expanding gain-of-function (GoF) research, even in the face of mounting evidence that such experiments may have played a role in unleashing a global pandemic. At the same time, researchers such as Dr. Kevin McCairn have presented damning data showing the long-term effects of synthetic biological materials that could be the result of such programs. The two interviews, though separate in theme, present a continuous thread: the legitimization of long-term biological incapacitation under legal cover.

The Expansion of Gain-of-Function

Attorney Tom Renz, in episode 20, reveals that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has restructured its policies to allow more gain-of-function experimentation, now cloaked in euphemistic language and effectively free of oversight. Despite public backlash after COVID-19, the same machinery is not only intact—it is being accelerated.

"They’ve expanded gain-of-function. They’re doing more of it now. They just changed the name and gave themselves more freedom to do it without oversight."

This indicates that the government is actively maintaining programs that alter viruses to become more infectious or deadly, claiming to do so in the name of preparedness. But the policies driving these efforts were forged in a post-9/11 framework that redefined the rules of biological engagement.

Biowarfare by Another Name

In episode 18, Dr. Kevin McCairn explains the historical basis for what is now unfolding: while the Biological Weapons Convention banned lethal pathogens in the 1960s, it left a gaping loophole. Research on incapacitating agents—biological or chemical agents that disable but don’t kill immediately—was permitted.

"What happens to you five, ten years down the line? They don’t care... They’ve complied to the letter of the law."

The SARS-CoV-2 virus, and its spike protein expressed by the mRNA vaccines, fits squarely into this legal and scientific framework. The biological agents in question do not kill on contact but set off long-term degenerative processes in the body, such as protein misfolding and systemic amyloid buildup.

Infectious Amyloid and the Collapse of Bioethics

Dr. McCairn's lab analyses, presented in meticulous microscopy and staining work, indicate the presence of amyloidogenic material in white clots extracted from deceased individuals. These clots are not normal post-mortem formations; they contain misfolded proteins that fluoresce under specialized dyes, confirming amyloid structure.

What is particularly damning is the evidence that these amyloids are not merely pathological—they may be infectious. In experiments, material from the clots catalyzed amyloid formation in human plasma, raising fears of a synthetic prion-like disease mechanism.

"You're dealing with the consequences of the mass exposure to weaponized amyloids, either through the viral agent or through spike protein, the vaccine... It’s a broad-acting weapon."

The implications are staggering. Once introduced into the body, even in picogram amounts, these proteins appear capable of catalyzing further misfolding autonomously. This results in toxic buildup throughout the circulatory system and possibly the brain.

The Hidden Continuity

What ties Renz’s legal warning to McCairn’s scientific presentation is this: the government has structured the rules so that incapacitating biowarfare is not only permitted but ongoing, and its effects—chronic illness, neurodegeneration, cardiovascular failure—are long-term, deniable, and legal. GoF research has not ended; it has simply matured into something more palatable to bureaucracy and media alike.

Renz rightly warns:

"They're using our money to build things that could kill us... and they’re not going to tell you until it’s too late."

The term gain-of-function may fade, but the principle remains: engineered biology, detached from oversight, used not for healing but for quiet domination. These programs may promise defense, but what they are delivering is a long, legal war against the human body—one spike protein at a time.
