Even if the breakdown is gradual enough so that reduction of the population can occur more through lowering of the birth rate than through elevation of the death rate, the process of de-industrialization probably will be very chaotic and involve much suffering. It is naive to think it likely that technology can be phased out in a smoothly managed, orderly way, especially since the technophiles will fight stubbornly at every step.
I think that technology could very well be a part of satans final end times system before Jesus second coming.
Jesus is supposed to come back after 2000 years. So we could be close to Jesus second coming.
Technology and the technocrats might be ruling the earth for 3.5 years.
Then the two witnesses create a plague making it impossible for anyone to make a spark, making all technology worthless.
Then Jesus returns and binds Satan for a thousand years and puts the false prophet and the beast in the lake of fire.
So I don’t think we can nor should try to de-industrialize the world. I don’t think we should start a revolution trying to destroy technological society. God will do that in due time. Rather we should read the book of revelation in the KJV Bible to understand the future.
I am not against in any way leaving technology behind, abondaning high tech, mobile phones, computers, social media, society, living in the wild, becoming a Luddite. I am not against all this. But let God decide. God will provide.
