Pearl:Royal Priesthood

(I Peter 2:9 [KJV]) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

The bible supports the idea of a priesthood of believers (1 Peter 2:9).

So the true believers are a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9).

(Matthew 20:18 [KJV]) Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

But priest are also mentioned as enemies of Christ in the bible (Mt 20:18). These priest are unbelievers.
