(Revelation of John 2:6 [KJV]) But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

(Revelation of John 2:15 [KJV]) So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

Nicolaitans in the bible is something that Jesus hates (verse 15). He also hates their deeds (verse 6).

So what does Nicolaitans mean?

It comes from the two words Nico and laitians.

Laitians are the laity, that is, the people.

Nico means to rule over.

So the Nicolaitans are basically those who tell the true brethren

- ”You need us to interpret the bible for you”

or who tell you

- "But the greek says".

What better way to deceive people than to tell them that they cant think for themselves.

The Nicolatians continue to follow in the steps of the that woman and to worship the Virgin. They eat things sacrificed to idols.
