Giants, Fallen Angels, and Demons in Moishe's Teachings
This article provides a detailed breakdown of Moishe's distinctions between giants, fallen angels, and demons, as presented in his teaching Spiritual Warfare for Today ([YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/live/eAGizPMmNEg?si=Bt0htEE3vPo6QWZF]).
Fallen Angels (The “Watchers”)
- Who are they?
Moishe refers to the biblical account (Genesis 6:1-4) and especially the Book of Enoch, which describes a group of angels who left their first estate (Jude 6), descended to earth, and took human women as wives.
- What did they do?
- Produced offspring with human women—these offspring became the giants (Nephilim).
- Taught humans forbidden knowledge: warfare, sorcery, enchantments, writing, etc. (as described in Enoch).
- Current status:
- These angels are considered the fallen or rebel angels.
- Moishe speculates they are the powers of the air (Ephesians 2:2), i.e., high-level spiritual rulers still at work in the unseen world.
- A third of all angels rebelled, according to Revelation 12.
Giants (Nephilim, Rephaim, etc.)
- Origin:
The children born from the union of fallen angels and human women.
- Nature:
- Physically enormous, described in the Bible (e.g., Og, Goliath) and extra-biblical sources like Enoch.
- Their bloodlines continued through Noah (the only survivor of the flood along with his family), with speculation that some giant genetics survived in post-flood populations.
- What happened to them?
- The giants were killed off (before, during, and after the Flood).
- Their spirits did not ascend to heaven nor were they accepted by God.
Demons (Unclean Spirits)
- Who/what are they?
Moishe follows the Enochian tradition:
- The disembodied spirits of the dead giants (offspring of fallen angels and human women).
- Not fallen angels themselves, but the spirits of these hybrid beings.
- Nature:
- Earth-bound, cursed, malicious.
- Distinct from angels or humans—abominations that were never meant to exist.
- May inhabit people or animals (as in the gospel accounts of demons entering pigs).
- Ultimate fate:
- Moishe speculates their existence may be temporary:
“They might just be able to be erased like they never happened.” “They may not ever be in the lake of fire… they just may not be eternal.”
- Their current punishment is to wander the earth, as described in Enoch.
Relationship and Practical Implications
- Hierarchy:
- Fallen angels = high-level spiritual rulers (powers/principalities).
- Demons = lesser, earthbound spirits (the foot soldiers of the enemy’s kingdom).
- Spiritual Warfare:
- Both fallen angels and demons are subject to the authority given to believers in Jesus (Yeshua).
- Believers can bind these spirits, command them to leave, and forbid them from returning or interfering, citing passages such as Mark 16:17, Luke 10:19.
- Speculative Points:
- Moishe questions whether God ever gave the breath of life to these hybrid beings, or if their life/spirit was a byproduct of the angels’ sin.
- Their ultimate destiny may be annihilation rather than eternal torment, since they were never part of God’s original creation.
Key Quotes from the Transcript
Now, there's millions and millions of angels and a third of them got kicked out of heaven. So we got to deal with a huge amount of these fallen angels that are rotten to the core. Okay. But they also went and laid up with the women and they had these giants. And according to the book of Enoch, you know, the giants all died and that's who the unclean spirits are other than the fallen angels. Is the spirits of these abominable creations were the angels laid up with humans and they're not ever supposed to do that.
Now, their spirits may not, you know, be the same as the life forms that the Lord sanctioned or wanted like humans and like animals and stuff like that. So, they might not have any kind of a future beyond what is now. In other words, they may not ever be in the lake of fire. They may just be gone. They might just be able to be erased like they never happened.
And I think it's them that go inside dogs and cats and animals and things like this. I don't think the angels like doing that too much. Because if they do go in and you toss them, then they got to go to the dry place where they suffer.
Summary Table
| Entity | Origin/Source | Nature/Role | Ultimate Fate (Moishe’s View) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fallen Angels | Created angels, rebelled | Powers/rulers | Awaiting judgment/lake of fire |
| Giants/Nephilim | Offspring: fallen angel + woman | Hybrid abominations | Killed; spirits not accepted by God |
| Demons/Unclean Spirits | Disembodied spirits of giants | Earth-bound, malicious | Annihilation or wandering; not eternal |
