Others openly believe on Him according to the gospel.
But there is also another group.
These people do not wish to openly deny Jesus Christ because they recognize His influence. Yet neither do they wish to confess the simplicity of the gospel. Instead, they redirect the conversation toward philosophy, spirituality, science, morality, politics, or some other subject.
This is why discernment is necessary.
A Simple Question
Sometimes a single question is enough.
Do you believe in Jesus?
A person whose faith rests in the Lord Jesus Christ according to the gospel has little reason to avoid such a question.
The wolf is different.
He does not necessarily wish to deny Jesus.
Neither does he wish to confess Him according to the gospel.
Instead he redirects the conversation.
He answers with another question.
He changes the subject.

Many worldviews simply incorporate Jesus into a larger philosophical system.
The gospel does not add Jesus to another foundation.
The gospel presents Jesus Christ as the only Saviour.
The Difference Between Biology and Salvation
Modern discussions often revolve around genetics, artificial intelligence, transhumanism, vaccines, nutrition, longevity, and biological survival.
These subjects may have consequences for the body.
But they are not the gospel.
A person's biological condition is not what justifies him before God.
The believer is justified through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

Those who trust their own blood, their own righteousness, or their own flesh possess no advantage before God.
The believer's confidence rests entirely in Christ.

For where the gospel has been replaced, the name of Jesus may remain while another foundation has quietly taken its place.
