Intro

Here I put stuff about Lollards.

Beliefs

This is my interpretation of Lollardism.

There are no principles as a Lollard except for that they rely on their King James Bible or other inspired bibles in their native language and pray.

Below are some general ideas regarding Lollardism.

Because of the danger of the dark ages with the catholic church which then was visible to all but now is hidden in the local churches, the christian denominations its good to be careful with the churches.

The churches are basically catholic influenced[1] and Lollardy was a movement away from catholicism. Lollards dont necessarily socialize with the churches.

Lollards have no central authority here on earth. That is there is no local priest or deacon or church authority that they listen to. The king james bible and Jesus Christ is the authority.

Lollards have their own bible and their own walk with God.

There is no organisation for Lollards. That is there is no institution for Lollardism. If such an institution is setup the Lollards reject it.

Lollards don't confess their sins to priests. It is considered blasphemy for a Lollard to confess their sins to a priest.

Lollards dont believe in the ordination of priests through ceremonies.

Lollards believe in communion as being a sacrament instituted by Jesus Christ. Lollards believe in the presence of Jesus Christ in the bread and the wine.

Lollards don't have membership in christian denominational churches. Neither do they have membership in the catholic church.

There is no central organ in Lollardism here on earth. Such as a vicar or a church authority or an organisation that the Lollards adhere to.

Lollards, read their king james bible and pray. They take the communion. They don't confess their sins to a pastor or a local priest.

(Matthew 18:20 [KJV]) For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Where two or three are together taking the communion Jesus is among them. Lollards generally take the communion in the church if they don't have brethren to meet with and take communion with outside of the churches. The communion consists of the wine and the bread. The wine may be fruit juice or wine. The bread is supposed to be unleaved bread. I don't know if it is ok with leavened bread.

Lollards are sola scriptura, they believe the scriptures to be true.

Lollards don't believe that water baptism is necessary for salvation[2].

Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone to the glory of God alone[3].
