Intro

Warnings against fornication are both in the old and the new testament.

Old testament

Proverbs 7:5-27 KJV
[5] That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words. [6] For at the window of my house I looked through my casement, 
[7] And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, [8] Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house, 
[9] In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night: 
[10] And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. 
[11] (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house: 
[12] Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.) 
[13] So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him, 
[14] I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows. 
[15] Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee. 
[16] I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt. [17] I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. 
[18] Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves. 
[19] For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey: 
[20] He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed. 
[21] With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him. 
[22] He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; 
[23] Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life. 
[24] Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. [25] Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. 
[26] For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. 
[27] Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

Warning against fornication which leads to death and hell.

New testament

Matthew 5:27-32 KJV
[27] Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 
[28] But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 
[29] And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 
[30] And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 
[31] It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: [32] But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

We see that the same thing exist both in the old and the new testament regarding fornication. Which leads to death death and hell.

(Acts 15:19-20 [KJV])
 [19] Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
 [20] But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
(Acts 15:28-29 [KJV])
 [28] For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
 [29] That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
(Acts 21:25 [KJV]) As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.
(I Corinthians 6:18 [KJV]) Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
(I Thessalonians 4:3 [KJV]) For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

We see that abstaining from fornication is our sanctification.

[9] Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
 [10] Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
 [11] And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

But we see that believers are washed, sanctified and justified.

Revelation 18:9 (KJV) And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

Revelation 19:2 (KJV) For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
