Pearl:Not rashly or arrogantly to reprooue others
JAMES CHAP. III.
1 We are not rashly or arrogantly to reprooue others: 5 but rather to bridle the tongue, a little member, but a powerfull instrument of much good, and great harme. 13 They who be truely wise, be milde, and peaceable, without enuying, and strife.
(James 3:1-4 [KJV])
[1] My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
[2] For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
[3] Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
[4] Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
Reprove not arrogantly or rashly.
We should have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather reprove them it says in Ephesians 5:11.
But even though we should reprove them we should do so with grace:
(Hebrews 13:9 [KJV]) Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
Because you might be reproving false brethren and then you receive to yourself a blot
(Matthew 11:28-30 [KJV]) [28] Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Solution, be meek and lowly in heart (verse 29).
