Hireling

John 10
11  I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. 
12  But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. 
13  The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. 
14  I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

The hireling is the paid pastor. The good shepherd is Jesus Christ. Basically the hireling is what we call today in the local church, the priest or the pastor or in the salvation army the officer. It is the person that receives a salary in the church. Watch out for him. Dont trust him. Trust Jesus Christ instead.

How to deal with the hireling?

The hireling is not the be trusted. They can make the impression that they care for the sheep but they don't. They scattereth the sheep and they do not care for the sheep.

So dont say anything much to him or her at all. Yes and No is enough, anything more cometh from evil. Don't tell him about yourself. Preferably, as i said, never say a word more than yes and no to them. Which basically means that you stay away from them. Because it doesn't work to socialize or sit and drink coffee with people every Sunday or twice a week and just say yes and no.

But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. (Matthew 5:37 [KJV])
