False church

The idea of the false church.

What better way to snare and trap the sheep than to setup a false church.

A bit similar to Little red riding hood, lure them with the pretense of a grand mother or like Hans and Gretel, lure them with cookies. Someone said that church is the best work of Satan since the garden of Eden.

(Genesis 3:1-7 [KJV])
 [1] Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
 [2] And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
 [3] But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
 [4] And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
 [5] For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
 [6] And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
 [7] And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Someone else described the church as Delilah.

(Judges 16:16-21 [KJV])
 [16] And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death;
 [17] That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother’s womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.
 [18] And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand.
 [19] And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.
 [20] And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.
 [21] But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.

Now there is some biblical bases for a false church with the description of Mystery Babylon and the description of the dragon the beast and false prophet in Revelation.

We can see that it is talking about a religion or church since it says “they worshipped”.

(Revelation of John 13:4 [KJV]) And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

And there is also talk in the old testament of bad congregations.

(Job 15:34 [KJV]) For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.

Anyway just want to introduce the idea of the false church to save some sheep out of trouble.
