Walking in the spirit

Intro

(Romans 8:1-6 [KJV])
 [1] There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
 [2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
 [3] For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
 [4] That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
 [5] For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
 [6] For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

So how do we walk after the spirit. The king james bible is breathed out by the Holy Ghost so walking according to the king james bible is walking after the spirit. In a sense that is what IPD are about.

(Ephesians 6:11-18 [KJV])
 [11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
 [12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
 [13] Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
 [14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
 [15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
 [16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
 [17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
 [18] Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

We see that we don't fight against flesh and blood but rather against spirits [12]. So don't fight it out in the flesh. Don't debate. Admonish twice and then mark and avoid (Titus 3:9-11). Instead you go home and pray about it [18]. If you try to fight it out in the flesh you will not succeed but if you do it in the spirit, in prayer then you will succeed, then you walk in the spirit. It can be a lonely life but we are not lonely when we have Jesus Christ.

(I Thessalonians 5:17 [KJV]) Pray without ceasing.

Below is a test to see if you are walking in the spirit.

(II Corinthians 13:5 [KJV]) Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

When you get in trouble, someone attacks you verbally do you act it out in the flesh. If you do then you are not in the faith [5]. I am not saying that you are lost. I am saying that you are not abiding in Christ. Not that you have lost your salvation. But you might get in trouble due to it in this world. You are in the faith when you fight it out in the spiritual realm, when you take it up with God in prayer rather than fight it out in the flesh. Don't debate. Admonish twice then mark and reject (Titus 3:9-11). Depart and pray in your closet.

Casting out devils

Unclean spirits, also called devils in the king james bible, can enter all living things except a living thing that has the holy ghost in it. So unclean spirits cannot possess saved believers. But unclean spirits can enter all lost people. They can also enter all animals, like fishes, birds, insects, dogs etc. Unclean spirits do not have a physical body themselves so they need to enter some living thing.

So how do we pray, casting out unclean spirits. Dont we do evil to our neighbour then. Well how is love defined according to the king james bible?

(Romans 13:10 [KJV]) Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Love is defined as love worketh no ill to his neighbor.

Unclean spirits that possess other people never help them. Unclean spirits by their very nature are deceiver, liar and they deceive their victims to the bitter end when the victim ends up in the lake of fire. So casting out an unclean spirit is not working ill to your neighbor it is helping your neighbor. Because at least your neighbor get to experience a moment without unclean spirits in him or her.

What happens when we cast out an unclean spirit from a person?

(Luke 11:24-26 [KJV])
 [24] When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
 [25] And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
 [26] Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

As we can see it is possible that the person gets 7 more unclean spirits as a result. But you can keep on casting out unclean spirits from the person, eventually the unclean spirits will give up. It is always a good act to cast out unclean spirits out of a person, through prayer from a distance and you don't have to tell the person that you are doing it. You just do it in your closet in prayer, with no one else around.

Some would say that we should somehow make sure that no unclean spirits enter the person afterwards or somehow try to impart the holy ghost unto the person afterwards. But remember the bible doesn't state this as far as I know anywhere. And if we walk after the spirit, we walk according to the bible. We don't go against scripture.

Can believers cast out unclean spirits?

(Mark 16:17-18 [KJV])
 [17] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
 [18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Yes true believers can cast out unclean spirits, (also called devils in the king james bible) [17].

What is the scripture in the king james bible that proves that you don't have to be around the person that you can do it from a distance, any distance, for example cast out the unclean spirits from someone that is in another country.

(Matthew 8:5-13 [KJV])
 [5] And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
 [6] And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
 [7] And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
 [8] The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
 [9] For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
 [10] When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
 [11] And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
 [12] But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
 [13] And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

The centurion says [8] speak the word only and my servant shall be healed. Notice in the text that the sick servant is not there but is at home, far from Jesus. When Jesus heard this he marvelled [10] and called it great faith. We should have great faith. Isn't that walking in the spirit?

But can we do it just because Christ could do it?

(Colossians 1:24-29 [KJV])
 [24] Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:
 [25] Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
 [26] Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
 [27] To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
 [28] Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
 [29] Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

The hope of glory is Christ in you [27]. So yes if Christ could do it then we can do it as believers.

But can we as believers really win against devils, fallen angels just through prayer in Jesus name?

(Luke 10:17-20 [KJV])
 [17] And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
 [18] And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
 [19] Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
 [20] Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Yes the seventy had power over all the power of the enemy [19]. The devils are subject unto us through the name of Jesus Christ [17].

(II Corinthians 5:7 [KJV]) (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

When you cast out unclean spirits you do it but you don't check if it works. You just keep doing it because we don't walk by sight [7].

This is also as you can see walking in the spirit. That is walking by faith is walking in the spirit, rather than walking by sight which is walking in the flesh.

Example of prayer that you can pray in your closet to cast out devils from a person. Lets say the persons name is John Doe.

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I command all you unclean spirits to go out of John Doe now.

This prayer can be modified in many ways. You can include the persons home address to be more specific.

Greetings

Walking in the spirit as I said is about taking Gods word, the king james bible, seriously and believe every word of it.

(II John 1:9-11 [KJV])
 [9] Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
 [10] If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
 [11] For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

So walking in the spirit involves not wishing those who dont come with the doctrine of Christ, God speed [10]. Now what is God speed. It is any greeting. So we dont say hello to them, we done welcome them, we dont say good bye to them or any other greeting like bye or have a nice day or take care or have a good day or farvel. Because then we become partaker of his evil deeds [11]. That is the sin of wrong fellowship, you become partaker of his evil deeds if you greet him. And notice we should lock the door and not let into our home people that dont come with the doctrine of Christ [9].

Separation

I have moved this section to a separate article called Separation.
