The Riviera of the Middle East

Chapter 1: The Vision Unveiled

The lights of the press conference gleamed off the podium, casting shadows against the blue backdrop emblazoned with the American and Israeli flags. President Donald Trump stood tall, gesturing confidently as he declared, "We are going to transform Gaza into the Riviera of the Middle East. Ten to fifteen years from now, it will be unrecognizable."

Reporters scribbled notes furiously as Trump described the vision: luxury resorts, pristine beaches, thriving businesses, and bustling international hubs. "We’ll relocate the Palestinians to better living arrangements in neighboring nations, and Gaza will be a beacon of hope and opportunity. Trust me, folks, it’s going to be incredible."

In the back of the room, David Matthews, a devout Christian and KJV believer, listened with skepticism. "They have no idea what they’re dealing with," he muttered under his breath. "The clock is ticking. Zechariah 12 is right around the corner."

Chapter 2: Signs of the Times

A year passed, and construction crews arrived in Gaza under heavy military protection. Cranes and bulldozers replaced the rubble of war, and investment flowed in from American companies eager to profit from the venture. The world hailed Trump’s initiative as a bold step toward peace and prosperity.

But David saw something different. He had been studying the prophecies, comparing current events to the scriptures. "We’re already in Zechariah 11," he told his small Bible study group. "The betrayal, the division, the false shepherds—it’s all happening. What comes next is Jerusalem surrounded. Trump and the world think they’re building peace, but they’re blind to what’s coming."

He turned to Zechariah 12:2-3: "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces."

Chapter 3: The Siege Begins

Two years after Trump’s bold proclamation, the world watched in shock as a coalition of nations surrounded Jerusalem. Riots broke out in the streets, and international leaders scrambled for diplomatic solutions. But the siege intensified, fulfilling the ancient prophecy.

David knelt in prayer, his Bible open to Zechariah 12. "Lord, You warned us. The nations gathered against Jerusalem, and now the great tribulation begins. They mocked Your Word, but now every eye will see the truth."

The news channels reported chaos: missile strikes, mass evacuations, and desperate pleas for peace. But the global stage was set, and the sign of the Son of Man appeared in the sky, just as David had predicted. Matthew 24:30 echoed in his mind: "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn."

Chapter 4: The Collapse of the Daughter of Babylon

As Jerusalem remained supernaturally defended, turmoil engulfed the rest of the world. The United States, once the most powerful nation, crumbled under economic collapse, internal strife, and divine judgment. Revelation 18:2 played over and over in David’s mind: "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen."

Trump’s dream of the Riviera was abandoned, the construction sites left as hollow reminders of human arrogance. "They thought they had time," David said to his friend James, another KJV believer. "But the fall of the daughter of Babylon was inevitable."

Chapter 5: The Mark of the Beast

The world outside of greater Israel fell under the control of the beast, the false prophet, and the dragon. A global economic system emerged, enforcing the mark of the beast as described in Revelation 13. But within Israel’s borders, a different story unfolded.

"Israel is not one of the nations under the beast’s control," David explained to a growing congregation of believers who had fled to Jerusalem. "The Bible is clear on this. When the scriptures talk about the nations being ruled by the beast, it never includes Israel. The first mention of nations in Genesis 10 establishes that distinction. That’s why the two witnesses will rise here, in Jerusalem, and why the antichrist will have no power here."

The group nodded, their faith strengthened by the unfolding events. "We’re living through it," James said. "This is the great tribulation, and Israel is supernaturally protected. Just as Zechariah 12 predicted, God’s hand is over this land."

Chapter 6: The Final Refuge

David stood on the Mount of Olives, overlooking Jerusalem. The city glowed under the setting sun, a symbol of God’s enduring promise. He knew the worst was yet to come—the judgments of the tribulation, the rise of the antichrist, and the trials believers would face. But he also knew that God’s plan was unfolding exactly as foretold.

"Trump thought he could buy time," David whispered, "but prophecy waits for no man. The nations mocked, but now they mourn. And the world will soon see that God’s Word cannot be broken."

As darkness fell over the city, David clutched his Bible tightly. He knew that the great tribulation had begun, and the worst time in human history was upon them. But his faith remained unshaken, for he understood that even in tribulation, God’s will would prevail.
