KJV discussion 20251006

Recorded on 6 October 2025.

Overview

This talk addresses a recurring misuse of Proverbs 8:17 (I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me) to claim it is hard or impossible to be saved when old. The speaker argues that Proverbs 8 is Wisdom personified speaking about the blessings of heeding wisdom in life, not about the terms of eternal salvation. Salvation in Scripture is a simple, once-for-all reception of the gospel by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, at any age.[1][2][3]

Summary

  • Proverbs 8 speaks as Wisdom, not as a salvation formula. The line “those that seek me early shall find me” concerns the practical benefits of pursuing wisdom and avoiding folly (cf. the chapter context), not the possibility of being eternally saved late in life.[4]
  • Free-grace gospel: Eternal life is received by faith in Christ alone, apart from works (Acts 16:31; John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8–9). It is not a lifelong climb in wisdom or moral attainment, and therefore does not become “harder” merely because someone is older.[5]
  • Late-life salvation is biblical. Examples include the thief on the cross (saved at the very end of life) and other conversions during Christ’s ministry; age is no barrier when the gospel is believed (Luke 23:39–43; John 5:24).[6]
  • Critique of “soft Calvinist”/works-tinged teaching: The video calls out teachers who present as “faith alone” yet smuggle in systems that effectively make salvation difficult, measured by growth in wisdom, avoidance of certain “mortal sins,” or conformity to institutional norms. The speaker characterizes this as mixing categories—confusing sanctification/wisdom with justification—and as a power move within online ministries.[7]
  • Practical implication: Embrace Proverbs for everyday skill in living, but do not let proverbial wisdom redefine the gospel. Keep Wisdom (Proverbs) and Salvation (Gospel) in their proper biblical lanes.

Key Scriptures (KJV)

  • Proverbs 8:17 — Wisdom speaks: “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.” (Context: Wisdom’s call and benefits, not justification.)[8]
  • Acts 16:31 — “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”[9]
  • John 3:16 — God’s promise of eternal life to ‘‘whosoever’’ believes.[10]
  • Ephesians 2:8–9 — Salvation is by grace through faith, not of works.[11]
  • Luke 23:39–43 — The thief on the cross saved at life’s end.[12]

Notes on Misinterpretations

  • Category error: Turning Proverbs’ wisdom sayings into salvation requirements confuses prudential blessing with eternal redemption.
  • Age ≠ barrier: Scripture records conversions at every stage of life; “harder when old” is not a biblical doctrine.
  • Masking works with “faith alone” rhetoric: The critique warns that some online teachers affirm “faith alone” but operationalize salvation as difficult, progressive, and institution-policed.

So I'm doing a little video here again and here I was talking about I love them that love me and those that seek me early shall find me and how the closet calvinist the the soft calvinist That want to portray himself as a christian when he's not this orthodox kind of Person an orthodox person who's really into being institutionalized And so on being an institution being in an institution, but he wouldn't admit it. So He portrays himself as a faith alone preacher Because and then he will say things like that you can't get saved when you get older because you know His salvation is not the simple salvation Is not believe on lord jesus christ and thou shalt be saved it's something about wisdom and here we have in proverbs 817 we have the this is talking about wisdom. I love them that Love me and those that seek me early shall find me I wisdom it says earlier in proverbs 8 So this is wisdom speaking and this basically about the blessings Of following the law And the curses of not following the law that is basically wisdom This is not talking about turn of salvation So, um some orthodox Uh work that is teaching that has been teaching works for salvation You know, they are we have these people who are who are still teaching works for salvation Have been doing so their entire life because the orthodox they're not faith alone But they notice that they can't they can't Win or they can't have success on youtube Without applying a faith alone false mask to themselves.

So therefore they they claim to be faith alone When they really they are orthodox christians catholic orthodox christians Who believe in mortal sins they believe in Certain sins will cause you to go to hell or something like that. So They we have these orthodox and catholics who have infiltrated the king james bible faith alone movement here on youtube uh in order to because they want to be in charge of of Of it they want to be have power within it's basically a power A power game they want to be in charge. They want to be the vicars of christ on youtube So the catholics have infiltrated The and the orthodox have infiltrated the faith alone movement uh on youtube and When they do that, they also want to destroy The faith alone christians because really they are of another spirit They are of this of the reptilian spirit of the serpent the serpent in the garden of eden So they lie they steal They hide their face behind um they don't want to show their their eyes, you know, because because they um They want to deceive they're deceptive and um They basically are um into Into money often because they're money money oriented, but anyway here we see this.

Um, here we see this that um That it says I love them that love me and those that seek me only shall find me. This is about wisdom So some orthodox person is not necessarily saved. They can be living a very very life of wisdom And dump into hell when they die because salvation is not by wisdom Salvation is by the gospel faith in the lord.

Jesus christ And it's a one-time event It's simple to get saved and anyone who says it's not simple to get saved when you're old Has another gospel You know, it's some kind of work salvation some kind of progressive gospel about agnostic or knowledge or something about uh About finding wisdom, you know, i'm finding wisdom more and more wisdom As I progress in life And so therefore if you're old and trying to get saved you will already have gone the wrong way and therefore you will not find wisdom But that's not the gospel Wisdom is very good It's absolutely very good. That's why it's talked about in proverbs But it's not the gospel of eternal salvation so they are mixed things together because they're really orthodox They're really not faith alone christian. They're orthodox.

They really have another gospel They really have a gospel of catholicism of orthodox christianity which is something like It's not really the faith alone gospel. It's it's something like Um become more like christ or or maybe become more like Um Like the the heroes in the old testament, you know abraham david and all these people become more like them That's how you get to heaven, you know And there's nothing wrong with comparing yourself with these people because they are god's people but That's not the gospel But since they have another gospel they really are orthodox like Wolves in sheep clothing. They're hiding grievous wolf hiding Their face behind the mask of faith alone christianity in order to uh Gain power on youtube because they want to be in charge.

That's also why they attack the faith alone christians Because you know the grievous wolves will come into the congregation they will they will uh scatter the sheep it says I think the false uh ship or the the false shepherd or the uh They scatter the sheep the real shepherd is jesus christ and that's why we don't need a congregation if we have jesus christ Um because he's the real shepherd but um I love them that love me and those that seek me early shall find me. It's talking about wisdom if you Get saved when you're young The holy ghost might guide you into more Good things during your life To prolong your life and give you more. Uh blessings and so on So it's true that being saved early can be good for you in terms of your life Uh in terms of your lifespan and your Prosperity and all this stuff and to not get Grievances and so on it can be good to to be saved early but It's not true that this is the gospel And it's not true that people don't get saved late in life.

There are many people in the bible who are saved late in life Like the thief on the cross Like uh, they can't do now them Well, there are people that jesus met that were older that were saved. So, um And uh the guy in the in the prison there the prison guard who who Believe on the lord. Jesus christ and thou shalt be saved act 16 31.

So Um abraham, well, wasn't he like 90 or something? I don't remember but was 70 or maybe was 70 but the point being here is that is not by um This is a this is a Misinterpretation that it's hard to get saved when you're old And it's done basically by those who really have another gospel But they are teaching faith alone because they know faith alone is true. They've They come to that conclusion, but inside themselves. They have another gospel You see they they really are wolves in sheep clothing grievous wolves because that hide behind the mask mask of faith alone because they they uh Well, why would it be hard to be saved late late in why would it be hard to be saved late in life? well, it would be hard if uh if it was a difficult gospel right because the later in life you get the the the less able you are to Do big things.

I mean When you're young if you put your mind to it and spend your entire life trying to do something You are more likely to succeed than if you try to start that when you are older and i've already lived a lot of your life Simply because if you're gonna do something very difficult You better start early and steep and keep going with endurance your entire life to succeed because difficult things take energy strength and endurance and conviction and persuasion and all this stuff And uh So difficult things it's good to start early in life if you're going to succeed with difficult things But salvation is not difficult. So they have another gospel and this is what you see with orthodox and catholics They really have a gospel of that salvation is difficult And that's why that's that's why how you can Divine their true nature you can divine You can divine and see that they're really orthodox You know, and well if they call themselves undefiled orthodox, you know of the original undefiled orthodox faith What that could mean is that they're into this stuff about mortal sins Will make you not be able to go to heaven or you might need Indulgences from the catholic faith or something you might need to pay money to the catholics to get Indulgences and get your sins forgiven So that you could go to heaven that way You know either that or you have done some mortal sins. So you're In a special category down there These are catholics and orthodox christians that are that have Put on the coat of faith alone Because they realize that they're orthodox and catholic real nature Doesn't give them an audience on youtube So they put on the coat they put on the mask These are wolves in sheep's clothing
