Chapter summaries of the original AV1611

Intro

The original AV1611 published in 1611 and also the oxford 1833 reprint has chapter summaries in them that do not exist in the AV1769. Also they have the apocrypha in them.

I have added the chapter summaries to this site. They are available in the category Bible and can be read by going to that book of the bible and scrolling down to heading chapter summaries.

For example the chapter summaries for the book of Matthew can be read by clicking here. Some chapter summaries might be missing on this site. You can find however the chapter summaries off this site but still online. Its available via kingjamesbibleonline in category AV1611[1]. You have to click on the picture of the page to the right to get to the chapter summary for that chapter. For example the chapter summary for Matthew 1 is available via this page.

I don't believe the chapter summaries are part of the inspired word of God, just like I dont believe the apocrypha is part of the inspired word of God. Therefore I put little focus on it nowadays.

The reason I don't believe that the chapter summaries are part of the word of God is the chapter summary of Matthew 24 which states:

1 Christ foretelleth the destruction of the temple: 3 what, and how great calamities shall be before it: 29 the signes of his comming to iudgement. 36 And because that day and houre is vnknowen, 42 we ought to watch like good seruants expecting euery moment our masters comming.

Which seems to indicate a preterist view of the end times. Because they seem to be saying that Mt 24:3 to Mt 24:28 happens before the destruction of the temple that happened in 70 AD and Mt 24:21 is about the great tribulation and I don't believe that that happened before 70 AD. See more at Matthew 24 expanded.

Swordsearcher module

I have created a swordsearcher module that includes the chapter summaries. I tested it and it works. Its just a book where you can scroll through the chapter summeries with quick links books. Its available for download at archive.org.

I tried to upload it to swordsearchers forum for modules but they denied me to have it there because of that it wasnt structured as a commentary but rather as a book.

You need to have the swordsearcher program to use this module. I think personally you can do without it. Don't buy Swordsearcher to use the module. Its not worth it. I just happened to have created this module and therefore makes it available to those who have swordsearcher.

So I am not asking you to buy swordsearcher. It is good for me to have the module online because then I can download it if it gets erased from my computer.

Swordsearcher criticism

I dont advocate Swordsearcher anymore. Let me explain.

First of all the bible was meant to be read. You can read it in a book or listen to it using the audio bible. To use swordsearcher, search through the bible, sure it has some limited value. But there are other applications that work for that too.

Swordsearcher is tied to Windows. It doesnt work on other operating systems. Windows is the property of Bill Gates, who is negatively involved in the climate change, covid vaccine and depopulation agenda. So he is to be avoided. Also windows will send telemetry to microsoft of what you do. Windows is not safe. It spies on you.

Also swordsearcher has a lot of commentaries that kind of are integrated into the software. If you use swordsearcher you tend to get into looking at the commentaries. Now commentaries are not important. They are the word of men rather than the word of God. Its better to just have a pure kjv bible and read it without commentaries. Sure its possible to remove the commentaries from swordsearcher.

Also swordsearcher, since it works only in windows, is kind of a streaming and broadcasting software. Since Windows works so well with broadcasting, like making videos to youtube. So swordsearcher is kind of tied to BigTech and this is the evil of swordsearcher.

I recommend linux which is not tied to BigTech to the same extent. There exist many bible software that works on linux.
