In the accelerating race toward Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and Artificial Superintelligence (ASI), society is told to expect a new golden age—one where AI “cures disease,” “lifts humanity,” and “liberates” us from the constraints of the past. But beneath this utopian rhetoric, a more sobering reality emerges: AGI, as defined and pursued by the world’s most powerful corporations, is fundamentally about profit, not liberation. This pursuit, far from freeing humanity, may actually fulfill ancient prophecies about the final Babylon system—a global regime ruled not by truth or compassion, but by mammon.
AGI Defined by Profit: OpenAI’s Charter and Microsoft’s $100 Billion Benchmark
The narrative of AGI often centers on achieving human-level or superhuman intelligence. Yet, as revealed in recent industry disclosures, the primary, operational definition of AGI in key contracts is financial. According to OpenAI’s charter, AGI is defined as “highly autonomous systems that outperform humans at most economically valuable work.” More tellingly, Microsoft’s investment deal with OpenAI states that AGI will be considered achieved once it generates $100 billion in profit.
In other words, the moment humanity is said to have birthed a “godlike” machine is not when it liberates people, solves deep questions, or demonstrates compassion, but when it maximizes profit for its owners. The ultimate criterion is not wisdom, truth, or goodness, but mammon—the love of money (Luke 16:13, KJV).
AI as Organization-Based Technology: Ted Kaczynski’s Warning
Ted Kaczynski (the Unabomber), in his controversial yet incisive manifesto, argued that centralized, organization-dependent technology always ends up empowering elites and constraining ordinary people. He drew a distinction between local, accessible technology (which empowers individuals and communities) and organizational technology (which only large institutions can develop, control, and maintain).
Modern AI—especially AGI and ASI—epitomizes organization-based technology. It requires massive data centers, global infrastructure, armies of programmers, and deep capital—things that only global corporations and states can marshal. As a result, AI is structurally predisposed to centralization, surveillance, and control, not to the decentralization and freedom often promised by its promoters.
Babylon, Mammon, and the Mark of the Beast: The KJV Warning
The Bible warns repeatedly of a final, global system—Babylon—that rules “the kings of the earth” (Revelation 17:18, KJV) and is characterized by commerce, luxury, and spiritual corruption. At its heart is the worship of mammon, the god of profit and material gain (“Ye cannot serve God and mammon,” Luke 16:13, KJV).
This system is also prophesied to introduce a mark—a means of identifying, monitoring, and controlling every transaction and individual (Revelation 13:16-17, KJV). The “image of the beast” could well be a reference to an all-seeing, all-deciding AI—one that flags and manages every person not according to their health, well-being, or spiritual need, but according to their relationship to the system of mammon.
AI’s True Function: Serving Mammon, Not Humanity
If AGI is defined by profit, then the entire pursuit is mammonic at its core. The “help” it offers will always be secondary to the interests of capital and control. Even today, AI is used to:
- Decide who gets medical care, loans, or jobs—often reinforcing systemic bias and protecting profit.
- Flag individuals as “dangerous” not for the sake of health or truth, but for posing a threat to the established order, the bottom line, or the Babylon system itself.
Those who speak out—prophets, whistleblowers, dissidents—may find themselves pathologized, flagged for psychiatric intervention, or otherwise neutralized. The Babylon system is designed to handle outliers and dissenters, often under the guise of “safety,” “mental health,” or “public good,” but always with the goal of maintaining profit and control.
The Mark, the Beast, and the Prophets
In the end, AGI or ASI—shaped by profit, serving mammon, and controlled by a global elite—may well become the final Babylon system and the mark of the beast. Its flagging and control mechanisms will not seek to make people healthy or free, but to protect the interests of the system itself. Prophets of God and truth-speakers may be the first to be flagged—not for any real danger, but for being a threat to mammon and the Illuminati/Babylon agenda.
Conclusion: Liberation Is Not in the Machine
The hope that AI will liberate humanity is false as long as it is owned, defined, and deployed by those who serve mammon. The final Babylon system, as prophesied in the King James Bible, may be emerging not in spite of AI, but because of it. True liberation, justice, and spiritual life cannot be automated, purchased, or coded. In the age of AGI, as in every age, the call remains: “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins” (Revelation 18:4, KJV).
