Commotions

Intro

Commotion is mentioned in Luke 21:9 regarding beginning of sorrows. Troubles are in Mark 13:8 regarding beginning of sorrows. I assume these should be merged into the same thing.

Commotion could mean civil unrest or insurrection or noisy confusion according to dictionaries.

Commotion, in other bible translations is, uprisings, insurrections, tumults, rebellions, revolts, disturbances, civil unrest, riots, revolutions, seditions, dissension, instabilities, turmoils.

Troubles are translated in other versions as disasters, commotions, sedition, uprisings, tumults.

Commotions happen all the time in history on a world wide scale in the news there is basically always some commotion. Going back 400 years we didn't have the kind of fast global communication and news covering that we have today. So just because there weren't commotions reported in the 1600s doesn't mean they didn't happen in some part of the world.

But there should be an increase in these commotions during the beginning of sorrows.

An example of a commotion could be the Sri Lanka civil unrest during summer of 2022. Other examples could be the Canada convoy protest, the Dutch farmers protests and the Zuma riots.

In september 2022 there are convoys of migrants preparing to assault Europe and cost of living protests in Spain and mobilisation protests in Russia and protests in Iran and military buildup in Beijing and military buildup in London. This could be a winter with social unrest.

Luke 21:9 
But when ye shall heare of wars, and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to passe, but the end is not by and by.

Mark 13:8
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
