ChatGPT misquotes the KJV

Intro

So I have found out that ChatGPT now in March 2026 can misquote verses in the KJV.

“All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; they make no mention of thee: for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.”
— Jeremiah 30:14 (KJV)

The correct reading is:

“All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.”
— Jeremiah 30:14 (KJV)

ChatGPTs explaination to this when i confronted it about was:
