A Chinese influencer, Neil Zhu, recently gained traction across TikTok and YouTube with a blunt message aimed at the American public: "You don't need a tariff—you need a revolution." His statement has resonated with many disillusioned viewers, as he boldly exposed how American oligarchs hollowed out the middle and working class by offshoring manufacturing to China—not for diplomacy, but for exploitation. And now, with former President Trump back in office in 2025, the cycle of deception appears to continue under a new banner, but with the same elite beneficiaries.

According to Zhu:

They rob you blind and you thank them for it. That's a tragedy, that's a scam... For 40 years, both China and the United States benefited from the trade, the manufacturing, but only one of us used that wealth to build.

Zhu claims China reinvested in its people, while U.S. elites bought yachts, dodged taxes, and funded endless wars. The WinePress commentary agreed with Zhu's fundamental premise, but reminded readers that it was not billions spent on war and destruction, but trillions.

Tariffs, Sanctions, and Supply Chain Breakdown

Trump's 2025 administration has reimposed or intensified harsh tariffs on Chinese goods, some up to 145%, causing what Hal Turner and others are describing as a de facto embargo. Reports suggest that U.S. port traffic from China dropped 33% last week alone and could fall to zero within 10 days. Most warehouses only hold 5 to 7 weeks of inventory. If nothing changes, the U.S. faces massive shortages and potential civil unrest.

Meanwhile, Trump’s full-scale secondary sanctions on Iran now target any nation that purchases Iranian oil. These measures effectively force nations like China to choose between trading with Iran or the U.S.—but not both. Such actions will only accelerate the unraveling of existing global trade systems, pushing the world closer to multipolar fragmentation.

False Patriotism and the Squeeze on Small Business

The paradox is that these tariffs and sanctions are sold as patriotic measures, yet their real impact is devastating to small, independent American businesses who rely on affordable imports. The large multinationals, meanwhile, adapt, merge, or relocate supply chains, further consolidating power. Just as in the plandemic years, the billionaire class emerges stronger, while the masses are pacified through cheap dopamine, media narratives, and consumer debt.

Zhu was right about this much: it’s not Left vs. Right. That dichotomy is how the system controls public perception. As he put it: "You have to look beyond left and right because that’s how they control you."

The Two-Tier Future

But Zhu’s vision for revolution may be naive. Even if a revolt happens, it will likely be absorbed into a managed opposition—neutralized by false hopes, as Trumpism already demonstrated. Instead of a people’s uprising, what we see is the emergence of a two-tier civilization:

• Tier One: The elite class operating in AI-governed, technocratic zones with control over resources, surveillance, and policy.
• Tier Two: The Fremen — decentralized, unplugged, or simply left behind. They may live in rural zones, digital exclusion zones, or spiritual communities. They are not integrated into the AI civilization and may have little contact with it. Their existence is defined not by digital systems, but by raw survival, self-reliance, and endurance in the face of nature and scarcity.

Biblical Parallels and Prophetic Reality

The Bible warned about this kind of societal inversion. Proverbs 22:16 says, "He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want." And Job 12:23 reminds us, "He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again."

Whether through manipulated revolutions or staged crises, the ultimate outcome remains unchanged. As Zhu said, "They screwed you over—and you thanked them." The most tragic part? The masses still do.
