The purpose is to reduce global temperatures by simulating volcanic eruptions through aerosols or brightening clouds. While marketed as small-scale, these interventions open the door to large-scale planetary manipulation.

This initiative, funded by the Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA), and supported by the UK's National Environment Research Council (NERC), raises serious concerns about tampering with the Earth’s complex and finely tuned ecosystems. The "spice" in this world is civilization: its infrastructure, its data flows, its supply chains, and its compliance systems. Bill Gates and others like him depend entirely on this technocratic civilization for their power. Without it, they are nothing but fragile individuals in a wild world they cannot control.

So rather than encourage the true greening of the planet — through forests, biodiversity, and symbiotic life cycles — they seek to preserve the sterile continuity of a system where they remain at the top. Gates, for instance, has even proposed burying trees to trap carbon, revealing a mindset that sees life itself as the enemy. His interests align with planned depopulation, synthetic food, and artificial ecosystems — not because these are better for the Earth, but because they are easier to govern.

This is the deeper truth Herbert grasped in ''Dune'': that the powers who rely on the spice will protect it — even if it means destroying the civilization it was meant to sustain. Likewise, today’s rulers will dim the sun, poison the skies, and sterilize the land if it guarantees their continued rule. They are willing to sacrifice the living Earth to ensure that their version of civilization — their spice — continues to flow.

Geoengineering, if viewed through a biblical and prophetic lens, could be seen as another Tower of Babel — an attempt to rise above God’s design, creating a new world order where nature is no longer trusted but replaced. This is not salvation. It is rebellion.

Humanity must ask: Do we support the cycle of life, or do we break it in the name of control? Will we return to the garden, or shall we build a technocratic desert where nothing grows without permission from the state?

The answer may determine whether Earth becomes an Eden restored or a sterile outpost ruled by digital overlords.
