The other reason is the attempted restoration movement. To undo the reformation. To merge christianity with catholicism. This is ongoing.

But basically a lot of bad stuff going on within the church system today. Its more deadly than the atheists. Its [[Revelation 17|more dangerous]] than atheism to the saved. 

So a very good advice that will take you far and save you out of the lot of trouble is simply:

Stay away from organized religion and stick to your bible.
